What We Believe At Triumphant Community Church

Parent Category: FAQs

Church Confession
We are the Triumphant Community, an extension of the Kingdom of God. We love the LORD with all of our hearts, our souls, and our minds. We also love our neighbors as ourselves.

We embrace Christ's Great Commission to go and make disciples of all people, baptizing and teaching them to obey God's instructions. We then equip new disciples to make other disciples.

As we come into alignment with God and His Word, the Kingdom of God comes in our homes, our finances, our churches, and our communities and continues to spread throughout this world.

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, supernaturally inspired. That it is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God in its verbal, plenary inspiration; and that it is the divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life.

We believe that God exists eternally in three persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that these three are one God. We believe that God is the absolute and sole creator of the universe and that creation was by divine command. We believe that God, by His sovereign choice and out of love for men, sent Christ into the world to save sinners.

We believe that Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man. That He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life; that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins, and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day. Later, He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is the head of the church and intercedes for believers, and from whence He is coming again personally, bodily, and visibly to this earth to set up His millennial kingdom. We believe that since in His death, by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. Men are saved and justified on the simple and single ground of the shed blood. We believe that such salvation with its forgiveness of sins, its impartation of a new nature, and its hope of eternal life, is entirely apart from good works, baptism, church membership or man’s effort and is of pure grace.

We believe that salvation is God's gift to us. God acted through Jesus Christ to deliver us from sin. Jesus Christ is the only Savior from sin. He provided forgiveness and atonement for our sins by shedding His blood on the cross, and rose again to provide life and justification. Apart from Christ, there is no salvation. All men and women are under condemnation through personal sin.  Deliverance from condemnation comes only by the righteousness of Christ and not by human merit. This righteousness is credited to the believer by grace through faith. The Holy Spirit regenerates or gives new life to one who commits his life to Jesus and he or she is kept by God’s power forever, never to be lost

We believe that a true believer is eternally secure, that he/she cannot lose his/her salvation, but that sin may interrupt the joy of his fellowship with God and bring the loving discipline of his heavenly Father. We believe that all who receive Christ become joint heirs with Him, and at death, their spirits depart to be with Christ in conscious blessedness. We believe that at rapture, their bodies will be raised to the likeness of the body of His glory and dwell forever in divine presence.

We believe that - Jesus established the church to continue His mission and ministry on earth. A New Testament church is a voluntary association of baptized believers in Christ who have covenanted together to follow the teachings of the New Testament in doctrine, worship, and practice. We believe that the church is a self-governed, living organism served by two types of officers: the Pastor and servant leaders.

We believe in the imminent and bodily return of Jesus Christ to the earth. The dead will be raised and Christ will judge all men according to their works.  Unbelievers will be cast into eternal punishment and outer darkness prepared for the devil and his angels who preceded them, and the saved will enter into the eternal state of glory with God and will in their resurrected and glorified bodies spend eternity.

We believe in the death and resurrection - Everyone will be raised and stand before God; some to eternal life, others to eternal condemnation. (II Corinthians 5:10; Revelations 20:11) Death involves no loss of consciousness. The soul of the redeemed passes immediately into the presence of Christ and there is separation of soul and body until the first resurrection when the spirit, soul, and resurrected body will be reunited in glorified from in heaven forever. All men will be bodily resurrected, the saved to everlasting life, but the lost into eternal condemnation.

We believe that it is the goal of every Christian to become a disciple of Christ by growing toward spiritual maturity through the knowledge of and obedience to the Word of God and submission to the Holy Spirit, who indwells, baptizes and seals all believers at the moment of salvation. We believe that every true Christian is to be a dynamic part of a local church since this is God’s primary context for spiritual development and community impact.
